Cruzan Rums Cocktail Recipes

Monday, June 25, 7 to 8 pm. Cruzan Rums Cocktail Class with Joy Perrine, co-author of The Kentucky Bourbon Cocktail Book and bar manager of Jack’s Lounge/Equus. She will be conducting a class on her favorite rums, Cruzan. We have sold-out Joy’s classes in the past and this is sure to be another. $15 per person or $10 for Tasting Club Members. Here are the recipes she will demonstrate:

Daiquiri
  • 2 oz Cruzan White Rum
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • Shake over ice
  • Garnish with lime wedge
 Strawberry Rum Lemonade
  • 1 qt pink lemonade
  • 4 oz Cruzan Strawberry Rum
  • 4 oz Cruzan Citrus Rum
  • Combine with ice in pitcher
  • Garnish with strawberry slices & lemon wedges
West Indian Rum Punch
  • 1 oz Cruzan Coconut Rum
  • 1 oz Cruzan Pineapple Rum
  • 1 oz Cruzan Banana Rum
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 3 oz orange juice
  • Shake over ice & Strain into glass
  • Drizzle grenadine
  • Float Cruzan Black Strap Rum
  • Sprinkle nutmeg
  • Garnish with orange & cherry
 Rum Runner
  • 2 oz Cruzan Gold Rum
  • 1 oz Cruzan Black Strap Rum
  • 1 oz Cruzan Banana Rum
  • 1 oz blackberry brandy
  • 1 oz Roses Lime Juice
  • 1 oz Roses Grenadine
  • Shake over ice
  • Garnish with lime wedge
Pina Colada
  • 6 oz Cruzan Gold
  • ½ can Coco Lopez
  • Small can crushed pineapple
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • Combine with ice in blender
  • Float Cruzan Black Strap Rum
  • Garnish with pineapple wedge & cherry
 Cruzan Ginger Snap
  • 1 oz Cruzan Gold Rum
  • 1 oz Cruzan 9 Spice Rum
  • 1 oz Cruzan Vanilla Rum
  • 1 oz Kilimanjaro Ginger Syrup
  • 4 lemon wedges
  • Shake over ice
  • Splash of ginger ale
Cherry Bombe
  • 1 oz Cruzan Cherry Rum chilled
  • 1 oz Cola chilled
  • Pour into shot glass
  • Garnish with cherry
 Banana Daiquiri
  • 4 oz Joy’s 6 Spice Cruzan White Rum
  • 2 oz Cruzan Banana Rum
  • 1 oz Kilimanjaro Brown Sugar Syrup
  • 2 bananas
  • Blend with ice
  • Sprinkle with Kilimanjaro 6 Spice Mix
Raspberry Mango Punch
  • 1 qt limeade
  • 4 oz Cruzan Raspberry Rum
  • 4 oz Cruzan Mango Rum
  • Combine with ice in pitcher
  • Garnish with raspberries, mango & lime
 Jolly Roger
  • 1 oz Cruzan Black Strap Rum
  • Float ½ oz Cruzan Cream Liqueur
