Enomatic Tasting Selections
Sample fine wines before you buy. The Westport Whiskey & Wine self-serve, Italian-made Enomatic system dispenses wine directly from the bottle to the glass and preserves that just-uncorked flavor and bouquet for more than three weeks using a revolutionary argon gas preservation technology.
To use the system, customers purchase a re-usable wine card, insert it into the Enomatic’s card reader, select a wine and decide on a one-, three, or five-ounce pour size. The wine is automatically served at the correct temperature through automatic self-cleaning spouts and the cost is immediately deducted from the user’s card. The price of the pour is determined by the retail bottle price.

Clark-Claudon
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
Wine Enthusiast rating: 91 points
From lower Howell Mountain, this 100% Cab has bigtime tannins and tremendous authority. It’s dry and slightly rustic now, with an edgy feel, but the core of ripe Cabernet fruit suggests that it will blossom and improve by 2008, and then hold until at least 2015. — S.H. (8/1/2006)

d’Arenberg The Dead Arm
McLaren Vale, Australia 2006
Stephen Tanzer rating: 93 points
Opaque ruby. Blackberry and candied cherry on the nose, with suave graphite and anise qualities adding complexity. Deep and rich but also focused, with powerful dark berry preserve flavors and a late kick of iron. There’s lots going on here, and this energetic wine is still painfully young. Finishes with mounting sweetness and a strong echo of minerals.
