For connoisseurs and beginners alike, learn how to describe wine, smell wine, and taste wine like a pro! Understand the influence of climate and winemaking on the taste and flavor of wine. Discover the basic varietal flavors and taste. You will learn the tasting technique of wine professionals by tasting 6 delicious wines that exemplify the technique.

Scott Harper has obtained the highest level of recognition of the Society of Wine Educators by achieving the Certified Wine Educator (CWE) credential, which acknowledges an exceptional standard of both academic knowledge and sensory capability in the field of wine. In addition, he was presented with the Banfi Award, which is given to the individual who passes the CWE exam on the first sitting, with the highest score.

In his pursuit to obtain the prestigious title of Master Sommelier, Scott has also passed the Certificate and Advanced courses of The Court of Master Sommeliers and two of three of the final segments of the final Diploma exam. In addition, he teaches wine courses through Bellarmine University, writes the wine column for Sophisticated Living Louisville and enjoys sharing his knowledge of wines at the Bristol Bar & Grille Inc. where he is Corporate Wine and Beverage Director and General Manager of the Jeffersonville, Indiana location.
